A doctor, reformist and economist all-in-one

Being cynical doesn’t come easy – but when you read shit – it makes life for the cynic a whole lot easier!

Coburn, one of two doctors in the Senate, is against the current draft legislation in the House.

“If you want reform for reform’s sake and it doesn’t control the costs, what you are going to do is cut everybody’s wages in this country because any dollar that goes into health care is a dollar that doesn’t go into your pocket,” he said.

He also called for “a true competitive market with transparency and access for everybody,” adding: “There is a disconnect between the purchase of health care and the payment of health care, whether it’s Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance.”

Obama isn’t wanting reform for reforms sake – he is wanting reform so that people can get healthcare insurance at low cost, and to bring costs down.

Do we have to say how much people are paying – OUT OF POCKET – for healthcare insurance co-pays, drugs charges, going fucking bankrupt because of the cost? If THAT doesn’t come out of the wage earners pocket – what does?

Access for everybody? Well excuse-the-fuck-me! Isn’t that ONE of the many things Obama has said he wants, too? Obama wants a government plan so that will lead to more competition – well duh!

So, why is this Republican doctor in the Senate opposing healthcare insurance reform? I kinda missed that one.
