Well – they ask the question who’s fault was the sub-prime mess – and of course it has nothing to do with the Republicans or for that matter, George Bush.
It is and was and always will be, Clinton’s fault – it was a Democratic presidents fault – now you know you can have faith that you can sleep at night. There is one slight problem though – Bush, and the Republicans, were in office for such a long time – why didn’t they do anything about it while they were in office? If this was all known – as it obviously was – then couldn’t the Republicans have done something?
Let’s just think about that for a nano-second.
[…] as the Obama administration and the Democrats in Congress continue to move ahead with their efforts in increase Washington’s control of Wall Street, we would all do well to at least ask them to take a good hard look at the way we got in this mess to begin with. It may just be that the last thing we need is more government since it looks like the government had a lot to do with causing this mess in the first place.
So, Fox says that the sub-prime crisis was and is Obama’s fault – interesting that one, even for them that is pulling a cork out of your arse plated with gold.
As they advocate carrying on with the same policies that Bush followed and enacted – which led to the crisis, but don’t let facts get in the way of Fox – and those policies got this crisis into the place it is now. Neo-conservativism, neo-liberalism do not work! That is what they should be dealing with – not platitudes that ‘It really wasn’t our fault, please vote us back into power again’.
Of course to do that he [Barack Obama] had to create, or at least exacerbate a climate of fear about the U.S. economy. He came into office surrounded by claims — and they were false claims — that the state of the economy was worse than an anytime since The Great Depression.
Glad they told the millions of people who have lost their jobs that then. Who knew!?
So, according to Fox News – the economy in the US is just fine!
