Republicans losing confidence in everything Republican

Somehow that has a nice ring to it!

As Republicans feel the only way out of the current crisis is to do exactly the same as was done over the last 8 years – can you blame them that they are losing confidence in the people who lead that dinosaur of a party?

Sweet Mary they have a kid up on the stumps to show them the way forward – or a blonde with a rather large bum!

But to be fair to Mizz McCain – she maybe one of those who are actually looking to a future where the Republicans are not a party of nut-cases who are looking for the end times to be the cabel of policy making.

According to a Pew telephone survey of 1,308 Americans conducted from March 9-12, just 43 percent of Republicans approve of their party’s leaders in Washington — a 12-point drop from just one month ago, when their approval rating among Republicans stood at 55 percent.

Interesting is the fact that those GOPers are still mouthing off that their policies are still correct. Will this make them change their view?

The GOP also appears to be suffering from a lack of clear leadership. When asked who is leading the Republican Party, barely a quarter of Americans could come up with a name.

John McCain came up most often, with 11 percent naming him as the party’s leader. Five percent of Americans named Rush Limbaugh, while Newt Gingrich and Michael Steele were each named by two percent of those surveyed.

The party’s actual leaders in Congress — Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader John Boehner — were named by just one percent of Americans, a statistically insignificant number in a poll with a margin of error of three percentage points.

Make no wonder they are bringing Palin back to raise funds for them.

Oh what joy!

So let me get this straight: bash the idea when John McCain has it, but agree with it when it comes from the Obama teleprompter?

    I especially like:

Just a week ago, White House Office of Management and Budget director Peter Orszag declared that “fundamentally, the economy is weak.” Days later, Obama told reporters he was confident in the economy.

“If we are keeping focused on all the fundamentally sound aspects of our economy, all the outstanding companies, workers, all the innovation and dynamism in this economy, then we’re going to get through this,” Obama said, striking a tone that his top aides mimicked.

By the way, is CNN the only reputable news source to you besides the BBC?

By all means, leave your 2 bobs worth
