The manifesto will have to be responsive

At first it made me giggle:

Isn’t this a chance to start putting that ‘learning from Obama’ debate into practice?

Learning from Obama? I think that they are serious – but in the very same post the author, Sunder Katwala, forgets what he has written – I presume so, because he then goes on to paste a letter he wrote earlier.

You will have to go there to read it, I don’t like that kind of sadness here.

But to put it in a nutshell – in his letter he says that the Labour Membership will have to take on the next election in Obamaesk fashion – but the current ‘Labour’ party is no Obama, no where near him.

What should the Labour Party put in their manifesto – well, if they want a chance to win, they will just have to say to all the candidates “Don’t say anything other than ‘We resign’.” That actually could win them seats.
