Role reversal – Bill Clinton to take Hillary's seat?

It gets curiouser and curiouser!

As HRC takes the job of Sec of State there are some that say Bill Clinton should take her job in NY – erm… what is going on?

I know that Obama is going to do some very different things come January and his government will, well – lead the US in a very different direction, but I am still a bit unsure about Bill Clinton coming back into Congress.

The task of choosing a successor falls to David Paterson, New York’s Democratic governor. Whomever he picks would serve for two years, before a special election in November 2010 to decide who fills the last two years of Clinton’s term.

Paterson has a strong bench to choose from. There are a number of contenders, including at least eight members of New York’s delegation in the House of Representatives, New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi, Caroline Kennedy, and her cousin, Robert Kennedy Jr.

My bet – if I was to have one would be Robert Kennedy Jr. He would kick up a stink – but that said, would Bill Clinton, too?

Okay, now I’m going to try to forget you ever mentioned such a horrifying idea.

From the most powerful man in the world to a junior Senator? He would have to give up all those lucrative speaking engagements, but there are a lot of interns in the Senate I am told. And if the Republicans take the Senate in 2010 or 12 he would be a junior Senator in the minority party, but there are a lot of interns in the Senate I am told..

By all means, leave your 2 bobs worth
