Day of the Triffids returns!

The walking, stinging plants are to be revived.

I normally don’t ever blog about entertainment – way too many blogs to do that. But when I read that the BBC is readying to film a new adaptation of ‘Day of the Triffids’, John Wyndham’s classic – I had to.

I watched the original film years and years ago – that, and the Forgotten Planet, piqued my interest in SF, along with reading Asimov.

I look forward to getting it on DVD or, hopefully, CBC will run it.

A new television adaptation of classic sci-fi story The Day of The Triffids is being made by the BBC.

The drama, about menacing plants taking over the world, will be shown in two feature-length episodes next year.

Boo-YAH!
