Tested? Tested where?

If you were afraid of a McCain presidency before – be terrified now!

In the UK John McCain would be referred to as a ‘cocky bastard’ – not a good thing, and people would simply brush him aside, pat him on the head and then talk to the adults.

That isn’t happening in the US.

Where people and voter should be scared of this idiot is with this one, simple statement alone:

He raised — as he has for days — a comment Obama’s running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, made recently that if the Illinois senator becomes president, America’s foes will manufacture a crisis to test him.

McCain said that will not happen if he wins the election.

“They know I have been tested. I have been tested many times,” McCain said.

OK – where?

That is a serious question – ‘Where has John McCain been tested? He was a pilot who crashed 5(?) planes? He was a POW for 5 1/5 years? He spent 26 years in Congress? Where is this test that other (rouge) leaders will look to and say: “Leave the US alone – McCain is not someone to play around with!”

There isn’t! From day one – John McCain would go looking for a fight. It isn’t just the pathetic attitude that McCain has to the US economy, though that is bad enough – it is John McCain’s foreign policy.

You see, John McCain is in some kind of time-warp, he believes that the year is 1985 or there about and the world is in the midst of the cold-war again.

This happens with a guy of his age, you have these delusions that you can solve something that happen in the past by reliving it now.

John McCain would, I almost guarantee it, pick a fight with Russia. He would go into any negotiation with anyone with the attitude that ‘if you cross me you cross the US military and do that if you dare’ – the problem, John – is there are many nations out there that will call you out on that dare.

He attacked Barack Obama, his Democratic rival for the White House, for saying that “when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

That is “certainly not something I would ever do,” he said.

What about spreading the limited, very limited wealth of the working and middle-class upward to those who don’t need it? Like you and your wife!

Calculate the tax break John McCain and his wife would get under his own proposals. Has any of his, or his wife’s wealth trickled down to you?

Thought not.

If you are duped by this fool – then that is your problem, and I must say I have little, if any, empathy for you. You looked at him through rose-tinted glasses, but society isn’t just about you – it is about everyone. If, and I mean this as a big IF, you vote for McCain on his tax policy alone – you are giving John McCain a lot of YOUR cash – and he will take it willingly! So will his wife and all those fat-cat’s on Wall St, because you will be financing their 14th house.

Ask, at his rally, what John McCain means by tested – ask him to be specific. Where has he been tested? He hasn’t.

He has given no more, and no less, than thousands of other soldiers out there – except those who gave their life, and they gave it for a war that John McCain wants to continue, those will be your children he will be killing, not his.

Think before you vote – even lie that you voted for him if it makes you feel better. But vote for Barack Obama, he is the only sensible choice, will he be tested? You can bet your bottom dollar he will, but so was John Kennedy, Bill Clinton and George Bush – many other presidents have, there is nothing new there.

But each, yes even Bush, thought or were looking out for the American people – John McCain is looking for a war and his tax break.

Vote for him – and believe me, you will pay for that tax break and war.

I totally agree with you. McCain keeps wearing this POW badge like it automatically give him experience to protect me. I don’t think so. The way I see it, if he was as good as he wants us to believe, he wouldn’t have been shot down in the first place. How does being a POW test you for the job of President of the US? McCain and Palin are so full of BS they are starting to believe it themselves. As far as the tax breaks go, those making $250,000/yr can afford higher taxes. It’s us little people that can’t afford another 4 yrs of the Bush plan. McCain should share his wealth since he’s not hurting one bit. But he will only share it with others like himself — RICH.

  2. CATHY PRICE says:

If John McCain is tested, then every other vet that came back from Vietnam was also tested. What did he do that 1000’s of other military members did not do? What did he do that 100’s of other POW”S did not do? What has he done that 100″s of other Senators or members of Congress has not done? What life examples does he have that 1000’s of other Amercians do not have?
What is does have is a God complex, and wants us all to bow down to him for doing his duty in the military just as 1000’s before him and after him have done.

  3. “Thou art weighed in the balances, and found wanting.” This Old Testament verse aptly describes John McCain’s testing:

POW – He was tested as a POW, for sure. And like most POW’s subjected to the testing and torture, he folded. He signed a confession to his “war crimes”. Now, I don’t blame him, I would have done the same thing; but I am not telling the world that I have been tested. Being tested is only part of the story – what are the exam results??

Financial and Economic Accumen – Let me use only two words to describe the test of John McCain in this area. : Charles Keating. “nuff said.

    Judgment –
Lockstept with Bush Administration on Iraq, before and after. again, ’nuff said.

Selection of a VP running mate who has ties to terrorist organization (AIP). nuff said

Temperment – check the last debate. “nuff said

Thou are weighed in the balances and found wanting.
    ‘Nuff said!!!

Thank you for this commentary! When I first read the CNN article, I thought the same thing. There are times when I wonder if McCain actually thinks he’s still running in 2000… before 9/11, before our economy really tanked, when the most eggregious error of our President was a poor personal moral decision in his sex life.

But I don’t think anything says it better than McCain’s own words, from his book “Worth Fighting For: A Memoir”: “I didn’t decide to run for President to start a national crusade for the political reforms I believed in or to run a campaign as if it were some grand act of patriotism. In truth, I wanted to be President because it had become my ambition to be President. I was sixty-two years old when I made the decision and I thought it was my one shot at the prize.”

  5. Joffrey says:

    Dateline: Nov 5 2008

John the Maverick had this to say in his concession speech.

“My friends, I am sorry you have chosen to elect Senator Obama.
I regret to inform you all that due to this, I will elect not to inform
you how to win the war on terror, and especially not how to capture
Osama Bin Laden. My friends, you have spoken and I have heard you
loud and clear. In response let me now inform you that I will not
clue you in on how to save America’s economy. You brought this
upon your self America, and I see no reason to help you anymore.
My friends, Governor Palin has promised me a little bit of Alaska,
including a yearly check from oil profits for doing nothing at all, where
I can join the Alaskan Independence Party, and be free of America’s tyranny
    once and for all.”

this has been a work of fiction by the future for america’s children workshop

  6. Greg says:

LOVE IT!!!! GREAT POST! AWESOME RESPONSES!!!! I’m not alone in my thinking.

I watched him after the debate and I’m sitting there saying that guy could be president? The one running around with his tongue out like a child? God forbid Obama did this or a Female candidate.

Is there anyway to get this to CNN to actually get this on air? Seriously, because the only person that questioned McCain was Gen. Clark. Why do people think it is disrespectful to call McCain out when he is obviously extending his experience beyond reality???
I love this article. LOVE IT!!!!!!

  7. Dr. Kath says:

When McCain was challenged as a POW to deny his country or suffer painful consequences, he denied his country. We don’t get much “straight talk” about that dark piece of McCain’s history. If this isn’t a character issue worthy of note, I don’t know what is! John McCain WAS tested, and he FAILED! Dr. K

  8. Howard says:

Obama supporters act as if the polls are a true reflection of what’s going to happen on November 4th. Obama has consistently tried to win each of his elections prior to a single vote being cast, by eliminating his opponenets on technicalities, or having the DNC dump Hillary, or by giving the false impression that he already won, before the election has even taken place. When you don’t have an actual record to run on … and all you can do is point out problems, and blame others, as Obama has, you have to rely on gimmicks that have nothing to do with your actual ability to lead … like accusations of racism ad nauseam … like early voting …busing and indoctrinating homeless people on the way to the polls … photo ops with big crowds … spending 4 to 1 on advertising … having the media in the tank … having Hollywood in the tank, having Acorn in the tank … and, having 98% of all black voters in the tank. But, all of these things are nothing more than a fabricated perception. They have nothing to do with a person’s experience, or ability to lead. They just reveal a candidate who will say, or do anything to get elected. That’s why the Obamabots are so worried. That’s why Obama is telling his disciples not to get over confident. That’s why the Obama campaign tries real hard to make it look like Obama has already won … just like they did in the run against Hillary in the primaries. I happen to believe there are legions of people who are going to vote for McCain on November 4th … unlike the ‘in your face’ Obama supporters, November 4th is when the McCain supporters will express themselves. A vote for Obama is a vote for voter fraud, corrupt media, and a road to socialism. Keep America safe and strong, elect McCain/Palin on November 4th.

  9. Jacob_GA says:

Howard, you are a moron. You are the embodiment of the U.S.A.’s failures and stupidity.

  10. johnrj08 says:

In reality, John McCain has failed just about every test he ever took. At the Naval Academy, which he only got into because his father and grandfather were both Admirals, he managed to graduate 894th out of 899 midshipmen. That is a sad fact. Small in stature, McCain has always tried to compensate for his smallness by being pugnacious, combative, and overly aggressive. He wrestled and boxed at the Academy, but didn’t distinguish himself at it. He did gain a reputation of being a troublemaker, often going after bigger cadets whom he thought were bullies. Clearly, this is a man who has spent his life looking for a fight. Notice how often he invokes that word in his speeches. After his five years in captivity, his hair-trigger temper became even more evident. He wasn’t in Congress very long before he had a reputation of being an angry, volatile man who couldn’t control himself. To say he has some issues would be understatement. In my opinioin, McCain not only has a Napoleonic Complex, but he also shows all the symptoms of someone who is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Being a tortured POW for more than five years will do that to you. The manic body language, twitching eyes, exaggerated facial expression and grimace-like smile betray an underlying anxiety. Even a few of his supporters have described him as being “tightly coiled.” Personally, I don’t care to have a man with his personality traits and intellectual limitations in the Oval Office. I don’t care how experienced or “tested” he might be.

  11. dave says:

I couldn’t agree more. Where has he been tested? Following every lead that Bush has taken in the Iraq debacle is not what I call tested. Agreeing with someone else’s mistake and still trying to stick with the Bush argument that they had WMD show’s how thick this guy really is. He was a soldier and not a particularly good one at that. He was at the bottom of his class and if it wasn’t for his father pulling some strings he would never made it in the Navy. He is notorious for having a hot temper and being stubborn. That may serve you well when you are a P.O.W. but it doesn’t work when you are trying to become the President. He will be expected to diffuse hostile situations not encourage them. It will be bad enough here in the states if he is elected but I really feel sorry for the rest of the world if that should happen.

  12. dave says:

Howard you fit the perfect discription of a McCain voter. The Republican party sells fear! How do you think Bush won a second term? He has cleary been a horrible President but he sold the fear of terrorism and the Iraq war to get re-elected. McCain doesn’t even want him campaigning for him – doesn’t that tell you something? Now McCain knows he can’t win on the issues so he pulls out the fear card. Obama’s not experienced, he is muslim, he is a socialist / communist, he is a terriost. If you believe any of this you are a complete idiot! Look around yourself and see how bad things are going and then remember who brought you to this point. Bush and all of the enablers in the Republican Party, and the biggest one of all was John McCain.

  13. Cheryl says:

Arabs are hoping that McCain will get elected, because they believe he will start another war, and they know the financial stress will bring America down. He thinks they won’t TEST him? He’s totally wrong. They don’t like cocky people like him. They’ve been kicked around enough by those before him.

McCain continues to defend Sarah Palin~ the one who does not even know her job description, yet spends $150,000 of GOP money in two months on clothes & accesories.

Word is out that Mrs. McCain was wearing $300,000 worth of clothes and jewels at the convention the night John McCain was confirmed as the nominee.
How can the public….that honest taxpayer, Joe the Plumber, and the other blue collar workers who support McCain, really justify those kind of expenditures, and then also have her billing her state government to fly her kids around and let them stay in luxury hotels? Go one day, but bill them for 5!! How come these dull people don’t get it????

Why can a woman like Palin not get a good wardrobe for about $5000 all included, and then turn around and give some money for veterans or for kids with autism or some good cause. Of course, this is not socialism, and in their kind of world, the rich are to be rich and the poor are to stay poor, and never the two will meet! Be sure not to share or spread the wealth around!! They say one thing, they do the other. Who is elitist here? 7 houses, 13 cars, $4,000,000 a year earnings for her, etc. Who really understands the underdog and the working class? It’s Barack Obama and Joe Biden, that’s who.
So wake up and smell the coffee….and vote for them before it’s too late and we usher in the next era of McCarthyism and the next chapter in the Bush Neo-Con philosophies.

  14. Vern says:

McCain is another George Bush, a tough-talking former smart ass flyboy who’ll send our kids off to fight to prove he’s a hardass. I can’t believe I once respected that hapless jerk.

  15. Fritz says:

I don’t understand this talk about “experience” and “I’ve been tested.” Tested at what? Neither Obama or McCain have any real executive experience. Sadly, the only one who does is Gov Palin, and we’ve seen how she’s running her state government. Even the 9/11 attacks tested us even though we thought we might have been prepared. Does McCain really think any potential terrorist is going to attack us in any area they feel we are prepared to handle? What we need is a person with clarity and who can practice good judgment in a time of crisis. How many of us have been thrown into a crisis situation and performed remarkably well only because we had the ability to analyze a situation and had the support of people with experience and wisdom.

  16. Dee says:

Tested? Where? By whom? What? He was tested over 30 years ago? What does that have to do with today? Absolutely nothing!

  17. Dee says:

Tested? When? Where? What? 30 years ago? What does that have to do with today? Absolutely nothing! This just shows how out of touch McCain is with reality!

  18. Mohamad says:

Cheryl, as an Arabic I say that what you said is not fully right. Arabic people want someone understand them and stop killing them but the Arabic governments and the radical Muslims want McCain to put the Arabic people with no choice but with them or without any body.
thanks Bush. he destroyed the only hope for dimocracy in my country “Syria” and call every Syrian “Muslims and Christians” as terrorist thinking that by this way he will occupy our country so easily. he said that he will make the Middle East as a place for dimocracy but he made it a place for fear, terrorism and dictatorship.

  19. Tom says:

US foes wont challange him ??? Now how arrogant is that ? Who does he think he is ? Superman ?

Thats all we need is another cowboy in the seat !

  20. David of West Point says:

I find it funny that you think a man with less than a year in the senate is ready to run this nation. Freshman Senator Barack Hussein Obama II would have been a perfect fit for VP to Senator Clinton of NY. But no, the Democrats once again have to pick a man to lead the party. Have you been watching Freshman Senator Barack Hussein Obama II’s numbers? they have been falling. Yes he is in the lead but all that was gained in the summer has gone. So like the turning of the leaves I too must turn my vote to a Man who has a track record longer than his running record. Without Hillary running I am Proud to cast my vote for Senator John McCain our next President.

  21. Claudia says:

While he was a POW he was SURVIVING! Now he has freedom! Freedom of choice. Here’s what he did with his freedom of choice:
    1. Cheated and dumped his first wife.
    2. Lied to his second wife.
    3. Hung around with Keating.
    4. Led America down the wrong path in the war.
    5. Had no idea about our economic peril a month ago.
    6. Picked Davis as his campaign manager (Rovian Type)
    7. Picked a VP that has very little curiousity or knowledge about the “lower 48”.

I’d say that in the IMPORTANT LIFE AND CAREER DECISIONS WHICH ARE LIFE’S TESTS he has pretty much failed.
So he is right -he has been tested- and always fails.

If any other American failed any important tests listed above they would be hanging their head. Sadly, McCain sees things through his enormous ego!

  22. VIA E-mail says:

I just read McCain’s statement that nobody would test him??? How big a target can one man paint on his head? My guess most of the “Axis of Evil” guys are drawing straws and polishing the gun sites right now. He must think getting handed his head will make him a hero again.

Please tell me again that he is no George Bush….But does he sounds just as stuipd when the rest of the world is listening.

  23. Will Rhodes says:

    David of West Point –

Is it a part of your military training to bring up a racist connotation in post(s) on blogs, etc?

Not the sort of leadership your commanders would qualify is it? Or are you teaching the world something about the US military that we didn’t know?

  24. johnrj08 says:

    David of West Point,
One has to wonder why you or anybody like you would dedicate your life to serving this country when you appear to have so much hatred toward so many of your fellow Americans. I mean, if you hold more than half the country in such low regard, for what would you be fighting? You need to ask yourself why so many of the Republican Party’s smartest and most iconic supporters have left the fold to endorse Barack Obama, despite his middle name. How do you explain Chris Buckley, Peggy Noonan, George Will, David Brookes, Colin Powell, Susan Eisenhower, Kathleen Parker and a host of staunchly conservative regional newspapers going against their own party by endorsing the democratic candidate? And the list grows longer every day. Are you smarter and better informed than all of them? How much of what you say here is driven by anger, rather than sincerity and genuine concern for your country? Your post has the ring of what we’ve been hearing at a lot of Sarah Palin rallies. Quite sad.

By all means, leave your 2 bobs worth
