Guys and gals? WTF?

McCain is worse than Bush.

He is a pandering, egomaniac, megalomaniac and down-right liar. Is that strong enough for people to understand? I dumbed that down, which has been said the American people need because they are not sophisticated enough to understand when they are being lied to. I don’t say that because I don’t think it’s true – you fellow TV pundits are saying that!

But we have to look at why. Well – the thing is it’s quite simple. They won’t do their job. They won’t come out and say that John McCain is a liar. It isn’t falsehood – it is down-right lying by both him and his VP Poodle Palin.

The breaking news is she won’t go to the meetings that are investigating her – you know, the ethics thing that she is so for?

But back to the economy – the thing John McCain needs to gen-up on because he admitted he doesn’t have a clue about economics. But the usual suspects come out and say that he is the best person to run the economy – how the feck do they work that one out?

McCain, the Republican presidential nominee, told supporters in Jacksonville, Florida, that the problems facing Wall Street would not occur again if he became president.

“You know that there’s been tremendous turmoil in our financial markets and Wall Street. People are frightened by these events,” McCain said. “Our economy — I think still, the fundamentals of our economy are strong — but these are very, very difficult times. And I promise you we will never put America in this position again.”

OK – how? Tell us all John – because the world is listening because this collapse will effect the rest of the world.

Back to saying you are a POW? Back to saying that Palin sold a plane on eBay? Back to saying that you are better because you will bring taxes down and Obama will raise them?

Where will McCain go now? Wonderland would be the hope – but it won’t happen.

Even Republicans, you know – those people who actually listen to the issues on the economy, are getting a little jittery about you being the Republican nominee.

Will there be a backlash? We can only hope that there is.

  1. Will, I agree with you.
You know this is all garbage on all sides except Chuck Baldwin from what I can tell.
When in the heck are we ever going to get proper representation?

Let’s see – Obama who may be inexperienced but has the good sense to surround himself with highly capable people, or McCain-Palin, who both know nothing of economics but are too stubborn to admit it, and therefore will willingly plunge the country into more turmoil just so they won’t have to admit to being fuckups….

    Yup, it’s still the former.

  4. John McCain says:

I never voted for him so this is not true.

As you know, Will, I’m not politically oriented person, but this drama is too good to abstain from watching. I think the tide may be turning, with the scary stock market and oil aftermath of the gulf storms (not to be confused with the gulf war). Even us dumbed down Americans historically have voted democratic when the economy was in the loo. This may be enough to get people REALLY thinking. One can hope.

  6. Julie P says:

I learned yesterday that life long Republicans, like my brother, are voting Obama because they believe that McCain doesn’t know a thing about economics.

  7. steve says:

The funny thing is that Presidents take credit for a good economy, and distance themselves in a bad economy, when the reality is, that President has very little influence over the economy. Economies go up and down. Always has, always will.

By all means, leave your 2 bobs worth
