Bull or policy

Republicans playing in the ballpark

I can’t think of any election that has, basically, fought a campaign with nothing. But the Republicans are doing just that – what’s worse is that quite a hefty chunk of the American electorate are taking it on-board. Well no – literally buying into the bullshit.

Bush, McCain, Palin, Cheney are running around playing ball with the repetitive sound-bite – and not saying anything other than Obama is this or that. Still no policy at all from the Republican ticket of Bush and McCain.

As soon as a policy issue is raised – you guessed it – the Republican campaign says you can’t talk about that because it’s really all about Palin’s kids. At what point do you stop and say “Hold on a second – we need to here what you’re going to do…”

Laughably the American voter on the red side doesn’t. They are happy to sit back and act smug and think they know what is going to happen come the election – although they could be right.

It seems to me Americans (Republicans and ‘undecided’) are not that bothered about policy but rather if its a good fight and good TV.

I would have thought that the undecided voter would be the one shouting the loudest about hearing policy – but we are deafened by their silence.

The Republicans are relying on the latent racism of quite a few sectors in US society – that will bring over a few votes because they know that there are still some in the US that will not vote for a “Black” man. You only need to scratch off a little of the veneer and you can see it.

I can see the Republicans becoming blatant if things start to go really wrong for them.

    You go for it, Will.

  2. steve says:

Will, you’re going to the bottom of the barrel now out of desperation. You know it’s lost, so you’re playing the racism card? I just finished watching the Bush-Kerry debates, and Often wonder, how on God’s earth did Bush get elected after that? Its simple, Kerry was too far left. That’s it. when obama loses, it’s not because he’s black, but because he’s a far left liberal. It’s really as simple as that.

So on November 5, when the tallies come in, and Mccain wins, you’re no doubt going to have blog entries about how racist America is. you’re already preparing for this.

If you truly want a democrat to be president, despite not being a US citizen nor a voter, you might want to encourage the democrats to put moderates up for election, so they actually have a chance.

Obama’s lip stick / pig remark … and, Biden’s unsavory children with special needs remarks show us what a couple of creeps these two candidates are. In lieu of Sarah Palin’s comment about hockey moms, pit bulls and lip stick, Obama’s lip stick/ pig remark was extremely demeaning. Even though I am not an Obama supporter, at least I thought he had some degree of class and sophistication. He can try to cover his tracks by saying that the lip stick remark was not directed towards Governor Palin, but anyone with half a brain knows that’s exactly what he meant. I think Obama knows his campaign is in real trouble, and that’s why he’s stooping to such desperate, insulting and distasteful attacks. Obama is definitely not Presidential material.

  4. Julie P says:

It’s always good to know that Obama is still leading in the electoral college poll.

  5. leapsecond says:

Gina: and McCain wasn’t being desperate when he chose Governor Palin as his veep?

Sarah Palin’s still a pig by the way — a neoconservative Rovite. I wouldn’t say that she wasn’t even if she was a man.

  6. Redphilly says:

I don’t know what you are talking about all of you who think Obama is going to lose. He is going to win. No one is going to let this woman be president. Yes I said president. With the type of cancer McCain has, he only has about 2 years to live. So we get her for 2 years? Mrs. know nothing about anything!? I would rather have BidenI don’t think the American people want that for their children. I am not wishing death on McCain, but the statistics bear this out.

Palin reminds me of Shrek’s wife who was really an ogre when we all thought she was this beautiful
woman! Unlike Shrek’s wife who was pretty on the inside, Palin lacks this trait.

  7. Redphilly says:

Thanks, Julie P. Keep telling them!

  8. steve says:

    @ Will

isn’t “change” and “no more of the same” just soundbites as well?

Redphilly, you’d think it was amazing that kerry lost, especially after the debates, but he lost because he was a liberal and couldn’t win red states because of that.

You don’t need to compare Palin to an ogre because you don’t agree with her. That’s just nasty. That’s also childish. Disagre with her, but don’t make cheap attacks like that.

  9. John McCunt says:

    Just whine, you communist alien!
My genius choice of Sarah brought the Dems down. CNN is disclosing all lies about her that foolish bloggers like you put up. And what’s wrong about rejecting a nigger an African-American as president? Our vast population is still white, you traitor!

  10. SSG T says:

Wow. That really tells a lot about our own culture. People will really say anything to win. Instead of working together we result to playing the one card that white america will fold on…racism. What a coward.

  11. Hannah Stevens says:

When you are dealing with an ignorant electorate this is what you get. Women fawning over McCain\Palin, even though these people will bring about policies that are actually against women, right to choose, equal pay. But never mind, Palin looks good in a suit and tells them what they want to hear. And then when the jobs are gone and the wars continue on they will say to them selves, how did this happen?

  12. steve says:

    Hannah

Women were also fawning over Obama

By all means, leave your 2 bobs worth
