NYT: Back to the Issues

It’s the economy, stupid!

The McCain camp wants to keep off the issues, that is the only prospective chance they have to win. And they know it.

This proves it.

And that from an ex-democrat – Joe Lieberman. Obviously becoming a turncoat as Lieberman has means he has effectively thrown himself out of the Democratic Caucus’. So he has tied himself so much to a McCain win – he has to lie about a fellow Democrat, Barack Obama. This from a man who was once running for VP. As his Democratic career comes to a resounding halt – Obama’s must take hold. And the main reason for that to happen is get the Republicans back onto the issues – but they are going to fight that by whatever means they can.

Hereโ€™s the deal: Palin is the latest G.O.P. distraction. Sheโ€™s meant to shift attention away from the real issue of this campaign โ€” the awful state of the nation after eight years of Republican rule. The Republicans are brilliant at distractions. Willie Horton was a distraction. The chatter about gays, guns and God has been a long-running distraction. And we all remember the Swift-boat campaign.

We can only hope those who are in any doubt where their vote will go – listens to the attacks and non-issue rhetoric – and vote for the party and candidate who is speaking about issues, Barack Obama.

Alright, this proves it. I’m starting a write-in campaign, right here, right now. My candidate is a British citizen currently residing in Canada, but it should be no problem getting him vetted. (We just won’t have him disclose that part of his background.) As you can see, there is lots of grassroots support:

That is so cool! But how about PM? ๐Ÿ™‚

Or maybe the leader of The Canadian Action Party. They are scouting for one! I can overlook the whole British thing. Now that I read your wife informing us you are now using our language. LOL!

Hey, Bead – she was fibbing! ๐Ÿ˜›

I would make a great Canadian PM. ๐Ÿ™‚

By all means, leave your 2 bobs worth
