McCain cancels live appearance

John McCain doesn’t like being taken to task – and he really don’t like people asking his camp very pertinent questions.

This means that now McCain has cancelled a live Larry King appearance. Why?

All because Campbell Brown – a news anchor on CNN – asked some probing question, and never got a real answer from McCain spokesman, Tucker Bounds.

Campbell had asked for examples of a foreign-policy decision made by Sarah Palin. She never received any answer.

The McCain camp feels that asking relevant questions about his running mate is “over the line”.

Make no wonder journo’s are getting a little ticked off.

To say the least.

You have now to ask McCain only about him being a POW – a war hero *cough* – and anything where he can attack Barack Obama.

Nothing at all about him being a bad judge.

Wow. Though I don’t like Campbell Brown at all, I like John McCain less. What an idiot.

  2. Will Rhodes says:

I watched the interview, Brett – he, Tucker, was all over the place – now THAT is how to do a political interview.

  3. thebeadden says:

I watched it too. Wasn’t she great? Now that is what I’d like to be seeing more of.

Doesn’t it seem they want the focus away from McCain right now? Anything, any excuse not to have him speak.

I know I’ve said it before, but I think this campaign is getting to him. He is showing stress, and making mistakes.

Palin is a great card to take the spotlight off of him. And beautiful too! Holy crap some of the photo’s I’ve seen, I only wish I’ll look that good at her age. But to step in if anything happens to McCain. To be the President. Those questions should be asked. And many more.

We used to watch CNN to see the garbage being shoved our way, but if this style of interviewing keeps up, I might tune in more often.

  4. leapsecond says:

Bead: Palin was a terrible, terrible move by McCain. Imagine if she becomes president! This country will be nothing but trash and rubble if McCain croaks while he’s in office.

Luckily for you, you’re a Canadian.

I agree Leap. It makes no sense at all except to draw attention away from McCain.

Like I said before. I don’t think McCain will end up being the one running. Look for a little surprise a few months before the election.

There will be no time to dig up dirt on the new candidate.

    Or…I could be wrong.

  8. leapsecond says:

Totally agreed on the first point, but I don’t know how the “new” candidate could be a legal candidate.

  9. thebeadden says:

leap, I don’t have any knowledge of the legal aspect of it.

Could this work. They toss Palin right before. Pick the new guy. Then McCain steps down.

Or if they think he will win, he steps down not long after.

Or, Everyone votes for another candidate.
I don’t know. I just read a rumor that he will not be the Candidate. Then noticed he looks so stressed out and thought they don’t really want him anyway. The guy they want is hanging in the wings.

By all means, leave your 2 bobs worth
