The Surge worked

And as we know – that is a lie!

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) — A bombing at a crowded outdoor market in northern Iraq on Friday killed 21 people and wounded 50 others, according to police.

Nineveh provincial police said the parked car bomb went off in Tal Afar, west of Mosul. There has been violence in Tal Afar throughout the Iraq war, and U.S. and Iraqi troops in Nineveh province have been taking on al Qaeda in Iraq there.

Not only does John McCain not care one jot about US troops – he cares even less about Iraqis.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: there’s no way to say that the surge “worked” unless you give conditions for its success. Sure, it’s lowered the violence in Iraq, but it’s just buying time until we withdraw our troops, whether it’s in the next year or 100. The real test for whether the surge “worked” or not is to see the levels of violence AFTER we leave.

By all means, leave your 2 bobs worth
