McCain now wants people to think he can do economics

The man is a moron – and that is with an apology to morons. I just cannot think of a better word for him.

Now McCain is going to implant a surge into the US economy. How? By using Barack Obama’s policies.

Sen. John McCain on Wednesday used language primarily associated with the Iraq war to describe the U.S. financial woes, saying the country needs an “economic surge” to boost the job market.

The move put the economy — an issue McCain has admitted is not his stronghold — in the context of foreign policy, an area that’s considered one of his strengths.

Speaking in Jackson, Ohio, the senator from Arizona said the surge has worked in Iraq so it’s time for one at home.

“What we need today is an economic surge. The surge has succeeded in Iraq militarily — now we need an economic surge to keep jobs here at home and create new ones,” McCain said, referring to the additional 30,000 troops sent to Iraq in 2007.

McCain is going to put American people back to work – one of the policies of Barack Obama – rebuilding the infrastructure that has been decimated by Bush and his ilk. Oh what joy.

I thought that McCain didn’t believe in government getting involved to such a degree? Seems he has flipped on that one, too.

It was Bush and Co that sent so many jobs overseas – so he won’t carry on that policy of Bush? I doubt it – he will be under pressure to do as Bush has done – and do nothing. Remember, McCain is the one who said that the US economy was doing great under Bush – much better than four, five and six years ago – idiot!

we need to reduce the cost of health care, and we need to stop the out of control spending in Washington that’s putting our debt on the backs of our children.

Oh!? Can you believe that? McCain wants to control spending – he does realise that the US is now borrowing cash to fight in Iraq? You could save billions just by bringing the US troops home. Under McCain’s plan – the children of the next generation will still be paying for the Iraq war, a war that cannot be won.

Just a note to this dumb shite – the surge hasn’t worked – what has worked is that the militias are not fighting – but I can see if McCain gets into power, you will see that they will begin fighting once again.

Moron!

Will, can you point me in the right direction of where that article shows McCain using Barack’s policies? Top, bottom, a quote…just something to get me started on following your line of thought.

  2. Will Rhodes says:

Compare the two policies and what each have said in the past, Matt – you can work it out from there.

  3. Matt says:

Only policy I can find in the article you linked:

“We need to reduce the tax burden on businesses that choose to make their home in the United States of America, we need to open new markets to U.S. products, and we need to reduce the cost of health care, and we need to stop the out of control spending in Washington that’s putting our debt on the backs of our children.”

Since when have tax breaks, increased global trade, reduced health care cost, and reduced pork barrel spending been solely Obama’s and not McCain’s policies?

If that’s not what you are referring to, then don’t post an irrelevant article please.

Go back in time and find that the present mess is in a large way directly related to Slick Willies time in office that created the housing disaster that we are facing now. Bill and the bitch got away with Whitewater so they thought screwed up real estate deals would somehow be good for the rest of us.

  5. Daniel says:

Look, Obama and Mccain need to stop talking over one another using commercials or heresay as a way to “debate,” if you can even call it that. They need to seriously start debating in a controlled forum, and then a town hall format. Whatever, let’s get this damn show on the road!! Don’t let the drama over who the VP is going to be take up most of the time prior to Nov. 4th. Before you know it, we are going to be all out of time, and the people will be left guessing at the ballot box.
Somehow, after all the turmoil and chaos, a president will emerge. It happened in 2000, it can happen again, at least I am hopeful.

  6. Matt says:

Good point Daniel, both sides keep saying “we welcome a debate”, but no one wants to get it started.

mccain doesn’t even qualify as a joke. he was a major player in the policies that have allowed more than 8,000 more jobs in ohio about to be lost! check out the dhl venture approved with much lobbying by current mccain campaign advisors and mccain himself! talk about pissing on somebodies foot and telling them it’s raining. i guess as long as people stick their heads up their butts and pretend it smells great, mccain will continue to lie knowing that he can get away with it. economic guru my arse! mccain continues to live in the 60’s fighting a war while seeking the glory he feels he was denied him so long ago. now he’s willing to lie, cheat and steal to regain what obama has provided as way out of the mess this country is in as a result of mccain and his fellow cohorts in congress have allowed to transpire over the last past three decades. pull your heads out of your stink holes america while we still have some hope to turn things around and some fresh air to breathe.
